Hi
Has anyone purchased a south american airpass before?
Was it worth it, how much did it cost and what airline did you choose? Did you have to pay taxes at the airport on top of the price?
I know some are passes are cheaper if you fly in internationally with a partner airline of theirs.
I am looking to fly from rio to buenos aires, buenos aires to bariloche, maybe take ruta40 to el calafate to save $ then somewhere down there to santiago.
Thanks!

hi!
I f you are travelling via LAN to south america (in and out) then u can save some with their airpass..they also partner with some other airlines but the price gets a little expensive with other airlines. Also you need to at least take a minimum 3 flights within south amaerica for the LAN pass.Try areolingas argentina (i hope i spelled it correctly)..go to their website and call their customer care and find the price for ur dates and destination..u can also call the lan customer care and ask for the price..and then compare the both..TAM i think is just limites to brazil but i am not sure!
Hope that helps!
cheers and bon voyage!

I heard Mercosur had a South America pass with separte coupons to buy and have a fixed schedule. Or is this not the case anymore?
