Hello. I am Canadian and a traveller over 35 (knorthy, add me to your list please!) The first book I remember reading as a child was Dr. Doolittle and I was hooked. Not so much for the animals mind you; it was in fact the idea of a trip to the "dark continent of Africa." I never played with dolls as a child, played imaginary games with myself being "the explorer" and every Sunday morning my father would wake me up, pack a lunch and off we would go "looking for timber". We never knew where we were going but we never got lost. I guess we can safely blame him for some of my wanderlust. I have traveled across Canada more than once, parts of USA, Chile on more than one occassion, Ireland (more than once), Northern Ireland (more than once) ...notice a theme here? and Peru.
I am leaving in October on a 30 day journey on the North American Rail Pass. After that, I guess I can safely say I have seen all of North America. That's one continent down - few more to go!!
