if you're only going for 3 months this time, and want to ever go back and work in oz, don't waste the working visa!

you're only 'allowed' 1 x 12 month working holiday visa....per lifetime! and you can't use it as 3 months here and then another 9 months at a different point in the future.

i'm going over for 3 months, and wanted to work, but at the same time, i will probably want to go back at some point in the future for a year and i'll use the working visa then. so i was advised that i go with a holiday visa (Which means i can't work) for these 3 months and then use the once in a lifetime 12 month working holiday visa further in the future...

i agree with Alex but if your close to hitting 30 then you may as well go on the WHV because of the age cut off.

actually, you can apply for a second whv in australia. it's also 12 months.. but i don't know the details off hand. this page should help a bit..

i'm going there, too, next january. i don't know the exact date, but i should be there that month. i'm getting a whv, as well (a first one!). exciting!!!

thanks for all the advice every1, i didnt realise you could only get one for a lifetime!
but i think i'll need the WHV as my spending £ will probably run out while im there so a bit of work will be needed lol.

I havent got exact plans for how long to stay depending on that i could change the visa or stay for a year, and prob be very homesick!!!
