I'm new and already have a question.
Since I had to cut back on my travelling I'm now collecting postcards to teach my son (when he is old enough that is) about the world and all its beautiful places.
Does anyone have any idea where to get tourist postcard from foreign countries when you are stuck at home?
Hi Julieee and welcome at TP
beside asking people here at the off topic forum if they will send you a postcard you could also check at the Photos from the countrys you are interested and send the foto you like as a postcard to your e-mail address and then print it.
you will find many excelent photos from all over the world here at TP.
I believe they sell most everything on Ebay. I have a a packet of unused cards from Vietnam.

@ marlis, thanks, I wasn't sure if I'm allowed to ask members. If I print the photos wouldn't there be an issue with the copyright?
@ Daawgon, I tried ebay and found some nice once but most postcards there are vintage or linen and thats not really what I'm looking for. If you want to get rid that pack of cards let me know

I have send you a TP postcard,
it shows location and my name.
Are there any embassies around where you live? I'm sure they'd have postcards for you.
Or check online for tourist boards of various countries. They can maybe send you literature and postcards for your son to look through.
Hi Juliee, this sort of thing already exists on TP, with some members regularly sending postcards from around the world to certain members and one school teacher. This admittedly long winded thread may help explain it bit. Then send a message to the member Isadora asking to be added to the postcard list, and you should start to receive lots and lots...
Here in Croatia I can buy foreign postcards at local fairs where people/collectors sell used and old things, postcards - old and new - being among them. Rarely, there're some in antique bookshops (mostly older postcards) as well.
I don't know if you have something like that in the US, but maybe it can give you an idea where to look.
