Hi, everyone :)

A couple of questions about transportation within Bucharest and Warsaw:

1) How much can a cab cost from Sos. Viilor in Bucharest to the Otopeni airport (at night or day)? Does the 783 bus go at night?

2) What is the best way to get from Warsaw Okecie airport to ul. Falęcka at 7:00-7:30 in the morning? How much does a bus/tram/metro cost?

3) How to get from ul. Falęcka to the train station in Warsaw (for the train heading to Lublin)?

Thank you again

Polina

I can only answer about the Bucharest part:

a) With a legitimate taxi, the trip between your hotel on Viilor road (that's what Sos. Viilor means) and Otopeni airport should cost about 40-45 lei (10-12 euros), both during the day and at night (most taxi companies in Bucharest have the same rates for day and night, but during the day the full price might get higher because of the long waiting times in traffic).

Don't let anyone fool you - just remember that the distance between the hotel and the airport is of about 20 km and that nearly all legitimate taxi companies in the city have prices of around 1.7 lei/km.

(The only exception is FlyTaxi, which has a price of 3.3 lei/km, but fortunately you would have needed them only if you came the other way around, from the airport to the hotel).

b) Unfortunately, bus 783 doesn't run at night, it only runs between 5:30 and 23:05.

Great, thank you so much, rmm, we will stay away from Fly taxi.

We have a van picking us up from the hostel to the airport at night, so this part is covered.

Thank you again for your help!
