I am travelling to Canada in May, 2009. Included in the trip will be rail travel on the Rocky Mountaineer. Can I have advise as to which would be the better. The 'Yellowhead' route; Jasper to Vancouver, or the 'Kicking Horse' route; Calgary to Vancouver. Thanks in advance.

Jasper is nice, but I find Banff and Lake Louise to be just spectacular--so I'd take the "Kicking Horse" route.

It also kind of depends upon whether you want to get off and do some shopping, though--because the Yellowhead route (which goes through Edmonton) takes you to the Edmonton mall, which is a massive underground mall--and is a sight to see also. Still, I'd prefer the "Kicking Horse".

Yes, Banff and Lake Louise are awesome! I have been to Rocky Mountain with tours4fun last year, and Banff and Lake Louise became my best-loved attractions. Have a nice trip!
