Hey Shana,

Go for it! It is a great opportunity to get out and meet people and see the world at your own pace. Travelling with someone is great fun, but going by yourself is an entirely different experience. I know of plenty of people who have done it and didn't regret it for a moment. Just be open to talking to strangers in hostels and you will make some good friends along the way. And hey, you can always try to arrange a meetup with someone else on this site :)

Cheers, Peter

hey there, have you tired to work in an international company say locally to get some basic experience and then get a transfer to a foreign branch, looking around at the moment it seems to be one of the easier ways to get a job and still know what you are doing, on the other you could use the fact that you are a native english speaker and become a teacher abroad, i just checked a tefl site about a week ago and there appear to be a load of jobs for that in Italy, Spain and France in Europe or for further afield there are always ones in China and Dubai........have a great time and good luck
