At a rough guess I'd say just less than an hour driving. Maybe about the same going on the train (think you'd have to go into London and then out again). I haven't done it myself but have driven past both airports on the motorway, so it is just a rough guess. Hope this helps!

I'm guessing you're asking about public transport? Unfortunately it's a bit of a hike! (ie a long journey).

You need to go into central London (Heathrow is south west) and then out again (Stanstead is north east).

On the cheap you would catch the tube to London Victoria, then bus to Stanstead, total cost about £13, total time up to 3 hours.

For the next cheapest option, you would catch the tube to Liverpool Street, then take the Stanstead Express (train) to Stanstead. Total cost about £16, total time about 2 - 2.5 hours.

For the more pricey option you could catch the Heathrow Express to Paddington, then tube to Liverpool Street, then take the Stanstead Express. Total cost about £23, total time about 1.5 hours.

For the most pricey option you could catch a minicab (these are people who use their own cars to provide a taxi service - be sure you're safe) or a london black cab, which might only take you 1 hour, depending on the time of day, but could cost you maby £60. This last option I'm really not sure about the time or the price.

Hope this helps. First and last tube times and prices are available on the transport for london website tfl.org

Good luck!
