I'm a 24 year old Wandering Bard with a literature degree from Atlanta! I'm irish born, and have traveled here and there and NOW Its time for some South East Asia AWSOMENESS!
I'm a single solo traveller (how redundent), and me mum's terrified of me travelling alone. I've had some luck with the forums, except that only dudes have gotten back to me. Which is all well and good, but it would be really cool to tell me mum that I'm meeting up with some ladies or a small pack with ladies IN it. THen she wouldn't worry about me as much.
I have faith that when i get there I'll be meeting LOTS of people, but to assuage her fragile mind, I'd love to make some friends here first and meet over there for some good times.
Arriving into Bangkok Oct 27. Will be there for around 5 days, then heading north to Chaing Mai and maybe Chiang Rai for 6 days. Then an overnight train back to Bangkok and a turn around North East to the Laos Border. On into Laos for a few days, then onward to Vietnam. I have to be back in Saigon by Dec 18th to catch a plane.
If anyone wants to share a leg, or will be around, LET ME KNOW! I've done a lot of research, am very organized and well prepared. Yet at the same time I'm totally flexable, and will let fate sort of dictate how things will unfold once i'm there.
Sounds like your mother is the same as mine!
I am leaving to go travelling for a year 28th July. Unfortunately split with my boyfriend so going it alone. I will be in Thailand beggining of October could maybe meet up when you arrive.
I am 30 years old, easy going, looking for adventure and to meet lots of interesting people.
Similar to you in my quest to find a travel partner most my contacts are male, although i love male company nothing better than in depth girlie chats about love and life...most men cant handle that hey!
My trip to Asia starts on the 12 September in Bangkok. Would be nice if we could travel together for some time. I am 29 and live in Austria. My flight back to Europe is on the 14th of february. Therefore it is enough time to see a lot of South East Asia. Would be fun to meet you.
My Mum and your Mothers must be sisters, I tell you! Ohwell, atleast we know they care!
Im probably going to be flying into Bangkok towards the end of September then doing a tour of SE Asia for a month. Im going to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Do any of you know anything about SE Asian airlines? My Mum is worried about me flying on dodgy planes in the area. Any ideas/words of advice/things you heard?
Cheers in advance :-)
Think this is fab, sorry I can't come but thanks for making me smile, it's great to think tp can be used for this kind of thing
