Has anybody visit Italy or maybe plan to visit? What can I expect if I decide to visit this country?

Well, you can expect to see Italy.

Sorry, but that was not a very intelligent question as it is not very specific. What do you really want to know?

How to get around, how much money you need, what is the cheapest/best place to sleep, what are the best sights to see, etc would all be questions that are much easier to answer.

You can expect everything you desire from a wonderful country. Excellent food, coffee and wine. History, art, sports action, fun. Beautiful countryside and very interesting cities. Fun at the beach, great light and air in the mountains. Very friendly people and a wide range of places to stay. From private stays to best hotels. Islands and volcanos, boat trips and hot cars and girls of course. Italy can be soooo romantic.

Just check the Italian websides and you will get into the problem, where to go first and visit what.

Have a great journey ;)

Venice is beautiful--try to go for a day or two. And enjoy your trip!

Since you have such a short notice, I'd suggest that you went to Rome, it has a great many cultural and historical places to visit, great architecture and romantic piazzas, you could just walk around them for 5 days and you two won't get bored.

I suggest that you went to Rome, stay there 3-4 days, and then went to Florence, since it's 1,5 hour by train, stay there 2-3 days (it has one of the biggest "centro storico" - centre dating from 14th-15th century) and then you could travel Tuscany, which is beautiful and everything is very close - Pisa, Lucca, Sienna, San Gimignano, Peruggia, Assisi..

If you need further info about any of it I'm here
