Iran Makes the Sciences A Part of Its Revolution

Finally managed to acces the URL and can't understand what this thread is actually for?

Every government/regime uses science for advancement, some for the benefit of it's people (The West) and some for the total subjugation of it's people (Libya, Syria, Iran, etc).
The only interesting and honest part of the article was -

Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has encouraged scientific breakthroughs for geopolitical reasons. "If you are in pursuit of a science, you bring dissatisfaction and displeasure to the enemy of the revolution's aspirations," Khamenei said during a visit to Iran's stem cell research center in 2006.

Virtually all so-called revolutions (French, Russian, Cuban, Chinese Cultural) consumed their own children, the only obvious exception I can think of being the USA.
The Islamic Revolution consumed beyond belief. Khomeini imprisoned and murdered his anti-Shah allies if they failed to accept the dictatorship of the velayat-e faqih. Khomeini's ascencion to the Peacock Throne instigated the war with Iraq and the poor Basiji martyrs died in their thousands for his glory.
The ayakillahs have brought more death and misery to the Iranian people that Shah Pahlavi (pbuh), Israel and the USA combined.
Any national leader/tosser who uses the expression 'enemy of the revolution' is a piece of totalitarian filth and should be treated with total contempt.
Perhaps a brave science graduate from Shiraz should whisper in the witchdoctors ear's one of the fundamental laws of physics, namely Newton's Third Law.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
If you wish to scream hatred and death to the USA (Great Satan) and Israel (Little Satan) for 30 years, hide a nuclear program for decades and then exclaim that Israel will be destroyed in the very near future, you're mental.
Physical laws are immutable, and so is stupidity.

Hey - it's your friendly Moderator again...

I understand not everyone appreciates nor agrees with how others may post or what they choose to post. But please refrain from name-calling and derrogatory remarks. Wit and wisdom are much stronger tools than are slurs said out of irritation and anger. Thank you.
