Dear Lady,

It may not be easy to find a job in Bangalore.Because local people from all over seek work in metros like Banglore.

Your proffiency in English is not that great, so you may have communication problems. If it is your first time, and you can afford to travel, then there's an amazing number of places, like Coffee Plantations, tea plantations ,etc., to see.
Teachers salary are a pittance , will not last you even one week of stay. I am not discouraging you. You are most welcome to our country. But pl come with right mindset.

hello duniya,

As a foreigner, you cannot legally work in India.

However try to catch some short term temporary assignments like market surveys, door to door sales, telemarketing (well if you have good english communication where you can get paid on daily basis and unofficially too.

Hope it helps you..

cheers and welcome to India!

Anil

Hi there
The first thing i would check is on what visa are you traveling to India. If you on a simple tourist visa, check if there is a working holiday visa that you can apply for.

The other suggestion I have is check with some NGO (Non government organization)... I knew a Slovenian girl working in Delhi with an NGO

or you could also seek work in some high end store in one of the malls. (visa permitting)

Also check with the Slovenian embassy in Delhi, I used to play football with the 1st secretary abt 4-5 years ago and at that time there were only 4 Slovenians in India, 3 at the embassy and the girl I mentioned above.
Being such a small community im sure they will also be of great help in finding a short job in the diplomatic cirlce.

Take care n Good luck
Maneck

hi Duniya,

I would agree with the post from Maneck, the first thing to do is have a Visa which will permit you to work here.

Finding a job in Bangalore is not that difficult, if you boyfriend is in Bangalore, i am sure he will be able to help.

If at all you require any help in Bangalore, i will be happy to assist you.

A few part time work options you have in Bangalore is Sales Jobs in malls, Customer Care exectuve job etc. The pay is decent enough for a single person to live, depending on the company all the jobs will pay you anything between Rs 12000 to Rs 18000, but this again depends on whether you want to work part time or full time. And to live in Bangalore as a single person, around Rs 10000 is enough, that is for a decent life but not with all luxuries.

If you want to know anything more, please let me know.

cheers,

vicky :)
