Approximately how much time do you think would be needed to visit Verona? And are there any major attractions that are a must see?

One full day and an evening is enough I think. Obviously you'll want to see the Arena (can't miss it), also the San Zeno Basilica. Just wandering around the old town and along by the river is lovely too.

I love Italy dearly, and Verona is one of my favorites there.
The city is compact and really one day (full!) is enough for seing all main attractions.
If you dont have already booked accomodation in the area + own transport I would recommend you to reach Verona at afternoon/evening, take a sleep there and next day to dedicate to sightseeing. Then stay one more night there and move on from the morning.

1 day in Barcelona is good. You don't need more. The Coloseo and the house of Julia are the main city attractions.
There are some interesting places around Verona you might want to visit, such as the lakes area.
