tigasista has indicated that this thread is about Croatia

Hi guys

I'm trying to pick which cruise of the Croatian islands I should do.

What's your opinion?

Cruise Option 1: OPATIJA – KRK – RAB –SALI (Telašćica) MOLAT – (Ilovik) LOŠINJ – CRES – OPATIJA

Cruise Option 2: SPLIT – MAKARSKA – MLJET – DUBROVNIK – TRSTENIK - KORČULA – HVAR – (Bol) SPLIT

Cruise Option 3: SPLIT – OMIŠ – KORČULA – LASTOVO – VELA LUKA – VIS – ŠOLTA - SPLIT

Cruise Option 4: SPLIT – ROGOZNICA or PRIMOŠTEN – KRKA WATERFALLS (Skradin or Zlarin) – KORNATI/SALI – ZADAR - VODICE – TROGIR – SPLIT

Cruise Option 5: DUBROVNIK – KORČULA – HVAR – TRSTENIK – NP MLJET – ŠIPAN – DUBROVNIK (departures Sundays)

hi, those are all great options, but it depends on your liking, would you care to see the hot spots of Croatia or smaller (less touristy places) or combination of both? i will try to explain next to each of your options what you are getting:

Cruise Option 1: OPATIJA – KRK – RAB –SALI (Telašćica) MOLAT – (Ilovik) LOŠINJ – CRES – OPATIJA

(here you are only getting a view of northern part of Croatian Adriatic with little bit of National park Kornati (which is an absolute must for everybody who is cruising, however with this one you will only get a tiny bit of insight)

Cruise Option 2: SPLIT – MAKARSKA – MLJET – DUBROVNIK – TRSTENIK - KORČULA – HVAR – (Bol) SPLIT (very good cruise to all major islands of central Adriatic)

Cruise Option 3: SPLIT – OMIŠ – KORČULA – LASTOVO – VELA LUKA – VIS – ŠOLTA - SPLIT (same as option 2 but lacking Dubrovnik, a major attraction of Croatian cost)

Cruise Option 4: SPLIT – ROGOZNICA or PRIMOŠTEN – KRKA WATERFALLS (Skradin or Zlarin) – KORNATI/SALI – ZADAR - VODICE – TROGIR – SPLIT (this one i should favor as it is close to my home town Sibenik but actually is the least "thrilling" except that includes two National Parks (Krka and Kornati) in case you are fond of nature. There is nothing much to see in Primosten/Vodice. Still Split/Trogir and Zadar are nice towns on the coast.

Cruise Option 5: DUBROVNIK – KORČULA – HVAR – TRSTENIK – NP MLJET – ŠIPAN – DUBROVNIK (departures Sundays) very nice tour of south of CRoatian Adriatic

Cruise Option 6: OPATIJA – RAB – SALI – VODICE – (Krka waterfalls) ZLARIN – MOLAT – MALI LOŠINJ – OPATIJA (long and including north and central islands of Adriatic , attractive but depending also on how much of islands of Kornati you would be able to see.

However, all the options are really nice and will give you chance to see Croatia from different angles. Dont know if i helped at all but let me know if you need some more specific info.

Hi Bobego

That's really great! You definately sound like you know your stuff :)

I am interested in seeing the unknown sides of Croatia, places where tourists often overlook. I want to see them before everyone catches on how beautiful Croatia is an over runs it with toursts.

What do you think? Also, know of anyone who'd like to come with me?!

Hi Tigasista,
just a note to what's already been offered, if you decide on the cruise which includes Mljet and you really want to see a little of the 'other' Croatia, I would definitely suggest a couple of days in the small seaside village of Polace. Not more than a necklace of houses and restaurants around a quiet bay....but what a bay.

Just an idea.
