Travel Forums Asia Proof of exiting country in Bali?

Can anyone tell me if I need to show proof of exiting the country upon arrival into Bali?

I'm asking because I'm not really sure of the date I want to leave...is this required upon entrance?

Thanks!

When we entered Indonesia through both Denpasar and Jakarta we were never asked for an onward ticket. My understanding is that the Immigration officer can ask for it if he/she wants to. We never saw anyone else being asked for an onward ticket either at these airports.

Maybe other people have had a different experience?

No Donna l had the same experience as you - l flew into Bali via Denpasar too and as far as l can recall - as it was 3 years ago l wasnt asked for my return flight details - just paid for my visa got the documents placed in my passport and that was that!

Thanks....Looks like I'll keep my leaving date open :) Yay, don't like the pressure of having to plan to leave if I don't even know yet!

If I do, maybe I can tell them I'm leaving by ferry?
