I am so dissapointed that I cant get my ideal multistop for less than 1,000 at the moment.
I have re looked at the route and it looks like London-tokyo-melbourne-bali-bangkok-london is out of the question, so to cut down on cost I am having to consider just the two instead of three asian stops! Having never visited either of these places Im at a bit of a loss! Please help, if you had to ditch one which would it be??
Seems to me if you're already low on funds that dropping Tokyo would make the most sense.
In my personal view I think it would depend on when you are planning to travel to those asian countries. If you were going to be in Tokyo in late March/Early April time frame then I'd drop everything else just to go to Japan, but if funds are very low I'd agree with Daawgon because Tokyo is not a cheap city at all.
I personally like Bangkok quite a bit but many people will say they hate it and yet going by what I have been told I don't think I could stand Bali but I am yet to go there so can only go on what people like my brother have told me. My brother spent a week in the emergency department back home getting major operations done because of bugs eating away in his body after drinking an alcoholic beverage which had some ice in it which must've not been purified before getting frozen.

Thankyou both for your advice. We are travelling in September, I doubt the weather will be great in either destination, typhoons in tokyo and rain in thailand!
I have also heard that tokyo is quite expensive but at the moment due to routes and flight availabilty I think it will be Bali that we leave for another time, (and I will never touch an ice cube again!)
