Just a quick question- looking for info on Byron Bay planning to spend a little time there, going out to Oz on 18th Aug so would be looking at visiting Byron Bay end of Aug,
Just wondering about best budget accomodation-
and work wise is there much work in the area-
Any info would be great- there is 3 of us going over to Oz now so accomodation to suit 3 woulod be great-
a very excited Jess!! x
we had a car and camped...it was fun! you can also rent a wicker van, you'll see them all along the gold coast...camping was the cheapest way to go for us happy trails!
For three people your best bet would be to hire a caravan, or trailer as they call them in the US. There are plenty of van parks in Byron so either go to the Byron bay web site or just take your pick when you get there. I have never stayed in a van myself but I have heard a local say that the van park at Clarks Beach in Byron is excellent.
Not much help but should put you on the right track
There is plenty of work there if you don't mind working in a hostel restaurant or bar. not much else, there are a few farms around I guess. If you get a job at a hostel perhaps you could stay for free.
By the by.... Byron bay rocks. I kind of wish I stayed longer but by that time I had gathered up a big group of friends and was having a good time with them so I moved north with them. I def want to go back in the future and spend a month or two there.
