Our music threads come and go so here's another...

What is your latest favorite CD??

Mine are Raising Sand by Robert Plant and Alison Krause (sorry T), Lucinda Williams' World Without Tears and Eric Clapton/BB King's Riding With The King.

Mistaken Identity by Delta Goodrem.

Not exactly my taste in music at first listen, but a really classy album and every song's a winner.

Reminds me a bit of White On Blonde from Texas.

With the 15 year anniversary release of Exile in Guyville, Liz Phair has been getting a lot of playtime for me.

I've got Zachary Richard's Lumière dans le Noir (thanks, G! ;) ) and Tom Waites' Beautiful Maladies on constant replay. I also pulled out Harry Connick Jr.'s Star Turtle the other day--hadn't listened to it in years. He's got a great voice AND he's a cutie. Rarr.

In Swings the Tide by Anika Moa. (A kiwi artist; it's great being back here.)

Oh, and the Rarities, B-sides & other stuff 2 album by Sarah McLachlan, just cause it has The Rainbow Connection on there. (*plots to rewatch the Muppet Movie*)

I have to add Best of Texas Tornados by Texas Tornados. (Never thought I'd own an album with Freddie Fender singing "Wasted Days & Wasted Nights" on it.) I'm also stuck on the Tin Cup Soundtrack which turned us on to the Texas Tornados with "A Little Bit Is Better Than Nada" and Shawn Colvin's "Back To Salome" is infectious.

I'm hoping one of the family birthday fairies will give me a Ditty Bops CD and a Puppini Sisters CD. The Ditty Bops are very strange and very good.

A CD with Dulce Pontes, some songs are in English and others in I think Portuguese. One of my favourties is "Ballad of Sacco & Vanzetti" and "A Rose Among Thorns." I haven't yet been able to find her CDs in the shops here, but her voice is magical.
