Travel Forums Asia booking internal vietnam airfares, high low season etc

cazna has indicated that this thread is about Vietnam

I have 28 days in Vietnam in October. I arrive Saigon and would like to fly to Hanoi on the next day (or so). I've been quoted about $300 from my agent here. Should I wait and take a chance on booking in Saigon???

I've also found it hard to figure out high season, low season stuff. I understand that the weather varies so much throughout the country but have differing info on tourist seasons.

Also, I hope to settle in somewhere for a week or so, Central Vietnam sounds perfect for this but it's the wet (typhoon) season. I don't mind grey skies and rain but will I still be able to walk around etc. Anyone who's visited in Oct ,weather report please (I've seen one). Of course noone can predict weather, I'm probably askinf for reassurance.

Cheers Cazna

Your domestic airfare in VN should not cost nearly as much. Try booking on Jetstar Pacific (online). If that fails, contact a reliable VN agent in country. I don't know the exact price, but I'd guess $100. - $120. You can't book Vietnam Airlines online!

;)Hi Cazna, >www,jetstar.com >Ho Chi Minh >>>Hanoi

Fares =Jetsaver light>$55
=Jetsaver >$55:86
=Jetflex > $84
Dont book from your travel agent they will charge you top dollar .Do your own booking online.There are some destinations that Jetstar dont fly to ,therefore you will have to resort to Vietnam airlines. If you strike one of those destinations find a good tour company in Vietnam to do your bookings for you, not your agent! !
Good luck.
