THANK YOU SANDRA!!!

A most happy 4th to America!! It was 232 years ago today that a group of drunken old rich guys decided to kick King George in the bollocks and say "Hey, we can do this.....we can run a country!!! Ninny ninny noo nah!!!!! Pfffthhhhh!!! (Then they went to the pub and drank massive amounts of British ale).

Today we celebrate with Cuban mojitos, Brazilian ribs on the barbie, Chicken on the barbie (invented by Alsatian leftists in the 4th century), Indian cucumber salad, and fire (invented by the Mongolians - it gets cold there!!) How much more American can it get???

We also have a nice Russian Imperial stout and Belgian Trippel in the fridge......

Wish you all could be here...we have plenty of camping room, really. And anyone is free to club a raccoon that tries to mix it's own mojito......

Hey sounds like a lotta fun - at school we learnt that the early Americans had a bit of a temper tantrum and refused to pay tax on tea, so they tipped all the tea over the side of the boat in Boston Harbour - now known as the "Boston Tea Party", and that is why Americans drink coffee. And that was the start of the American Revolution. Ishall have a drink with you all in spirit and give you an Irish toast,

When we drink, we get drunk.
When we get drunk, we fall asleep.
When we fall asleep, we commit no sin.
When we commit no sin, we go to heaven.
So, let's all get drunk, and go to heaven!

Well, we haven't seen any of the fireworks but can hear the pops and booms so we know someone is seeing them.
Alas, it has been a good day with a best friend and massive amounts of mojitos. We've eaten BBQed chicken and ribs along with assorted salads. We also got to pick on Beerman. Nothing better than enjoying good company in your own back yard. Again, thank you for the "virtual" celebrations. ;)

Why'd you pick on Beerman for? You can't blame him for obsessing over those Brazilian ribs

Is it still July 4th somewhere in the good old USA????
I was going to post my best wishes last night but my mouse went down on me and I couldn't be bothered driving to the service station for batteries.
Anyways, I want to wish all capitalist, imperialist, hedged-moneyist, boorshwa running-dawgs the best on their Independence Day.
All the way with LBJ is my slogan
