Apparently the 80s are back. Yippee! Well, for the music, anyway. I'll leave my fluo pink socks in storage...

I'm trying to put togeter a list of great 80s hits for a long night of dancing. Right now I'm listening to the local radio station's Saturday Night 80s show (they're playing Wonderful Life by Black--anyone remember it??) trying to get ideas. Anyway, I need suggestions!

Some songs to get your brains going:

Electric Avenue
Gone Daddy Gone
Closer Together
Tainted Love
Down Under
Missionary Man
Close to Me....

You guys got anything???

Very subdued, Whistler....good!

Listen, how can you have an 80's list without mentioning

Duran Duran Save a Prayer
Bruce Springsteen Dancing in the Dark
Thompson Twins Hold Me Now
OR..GEEZ>>>>>
Flock Of Seagulls I Ran!!!

This one is obscure...But my favourite...The one I REALLY wanted to be true.... was Alphaville's Forever Young

I never went in for hairspray or parachute pants or acid wash jeans...but I sort of miss the 80's

D

P.S. Was I Will Survive the 80's? Damn! I'm old

Actually after doing a bit more investigation I found the I Will Survive is actually from 1978, so not an 80s song, and that makes me incorrect and you even older Piecar

Technically - no. The album was released in 1980. Though the single was the flip side of We Will Rock You which got early air play in late 1979. I still vote for it being an 80s song just because.
