Just woke up (fell asleep on the sofa) opened the emails and read the above. When reading these 80's lists, I find the songs will automatically start going around in my head. Soon as I saw this list it's "I'm walking on sunshine...oohooh "

Anyone else notice this or is it just me? (Songs playing in the head)

I feel like Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now.
THE HORROR, THE HORROR

Foreigner - Jukebox Hero
New Order - Blue Monday
Dead Kennedys - Too Drunk To Fuck
Anti-Nowhere League - I Hate People
The Church - Unguarded Moment
The Models - I Hear Motion
Tom Tom Club - Genius of Love

and I have fond memories of REO Chuckwagon and Joan Zit and The Blackheads.

What is it with 80s music? It makes people simultaneously cringe and dance. Hee hee! Don't worry--there'll be some Bowie, Cure, Smiths, Stones, and other sources of decent rock/alternative stuff. But I need just the right mix of cheese, too!

And what's a wedding without Felling Hot, Hot, Hot! Thanks, G!

I tried to ignore most of the 80s music but here goes...

Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Queen

I'll stop now too...

Isn't that the seventies Isa

Technically - no. The album was released in 1980. Though the single was the flip side of We Will Rock You which got early air play in late 1979. I still vote for it being an 80s song just because.

So, Technically Yes, as the single (UK release, not the b-side) was released in 1979. But in the US Queen had a different recordcompany, who didn't do that well (Elektra), so that explains some rather strange releases in the US.

That doesn't mean you can't listen to other great songs of the 80's by Queen:

Play the Game
Save me
Under Pressure (& David Bowie)
Radio Gaga
It's a hard life
A kind of Magic
One year of love
Breakthru
I want it all
Scandal

You wouldn't understand - you were busy singing Safety Dance on the school bus...

See, you weren't specific enough earlier! Now we have a criteria to work with - oooohhhhh!!!

No prob! Just skip the Pina Colada song. Okay - it's cheesy but... (The two idiots in the song deserve each other.)
Likin' the Dead Kennedy's though. (Mom & Dad will be thrilled.)
