Hi
In a couple of moths I'm going to central america.
Now I've heard about this project WOFF and that it's also located in central america, where I could be able to participate.
Now I got this info from a girl, but I lost her emailadres.. so now I'm clueless about what it really is. Can someone help me out?
And If any of you know any onther intresting voluntary projects like ecofarms and such, let me know.
I'm in desperate need.
thanks
Camilla

The organization you are referring to is Willing Workers on Organic Farms WWOOF http://www.wwoof.org. You join for a small fee; the fee helps the organization maintain a list of organic farms around the world that accept volunteers. When you join, you get access to a list of all the farms in the world that don't belong to a specific country WWOOF organization. You can learn more on their web site.

The general premise is you work 6 hours a day 6 days a week with one day off. Each farm is going to do it differently, and many are negotiable.

I had an excellent experience living and working with a family on a jungle farm in Ecuador that raised trees to reforest the jungle. It was an incredible experience, and while every farm and farmer will be different, I thoroughly enjoyed the people at WWOOF and the farm where I worked.

I don't know what's available in Central America, but I imagine you'll find something there.
