hi i want to go abroad over christmas with my fiance, we want either a chalet in the snow sumwhere wherewe can cuddle up next to a open fire and open our presents lol or a break in a little city! anywhere we go we want snow! and we want all the little christmas markets and stuff? has anyone got ne ideas? thank you

northeastern US? I've heard good stories about Minnesota in the way of snow and nature, although there won't be many small villages if you ask me :)

Anywhere in Europe would be risky if you're dead set on snow. Even the Alps you can't be sure anymore these days. Maybe the arctic circle; there is this one fancy place in Finland that everyone always goes to, can't think of the name.

North of Montreal, in the Laurentians. Places like Mont Tremblant are hugs resorts with skiing, nightlife, chalets, etc. etc. Or you can rent a chalet anywhere in the region. Lots of stuff online! It's far enough north that you'll most probably get the snow. Maybe too much of it...
