definatelly BARCELONA is the most romantic city that i have ever been in.
Even more then Paris.
Well, Paris is always actuall. Vienna is very romantic place.
But Barcelona - ppl just walking hugged and kissing all the time there!
highly recommended for romantic weekend!

Thanks everyone! It's really nice to see that there's so many romantic people on TP ;).
At the moment it looks like Lisbon might be the destination, but keep going with your great advice!

In that case, add Sintra to your list (short train ride from Lisbon). Ok, there are tourists of course, but the sight is a bit
romantic I think

Santiago romantic? mm....I don't know.

As a southern I tend to identify romantic with indoors-comfortable-warm by a bonfire and a snowed forest outside...

Copenhagen? Bergen? Stockholm?

But as a northern I tend to identify romantic with outdoors, warm sun, beautiful buildings and a walled old town.... just like Santago De Compostella!!!

Lisbon and Sintra would be lovely.

Bruges is also beautiful.

I'd also agree with Santiago, I find it a gorgeous atmospheric place ;)

Lisbon, Great! If you can't make it to Cavtat in Croatia, Lisbon would be my second choice. Spend a week ON MY OWN there a while back and even then had the most amazing time... I can only imagine what it'll be like when you've got someone to help carry you home from the Barrio Alto. Joke!
Have fun wherever you go.
