Hi

Myself and 2 friends are travelling to South America in september, Around the beginning of october we will be in Campo Grande to visit the Pantanal and then we plan to Travel to La Paz. My question. How can we travel overland from Campo Grande to La Paz? I've seen some info online about getting buses to santa cruz and then getting the 'death train' But I can't find anything definitive.

Any Help on this would be g reatly appreciated.

Regards,

Niall

After visiting the Pantanal, you could go to Corumba and cross the border to Bolivia to the town of Quijarro, from where the 'death train' leaves. It takes around 24 hours to Santa Cruz. From Santa Cruz there are buses to La Paz directly but I would advice you to do the trip in stages and stop in Sucre and/or Potosi and/or Uyuni to visit the Salt Flats and southwestern corner of Bolivia.
