I will be travelling to Fiji at the end of November and will be there for about a month (due to the fact that I can't get a flight home before Christmas). I am planning on doing the Feejee Experience with the Tribal pass but am confused as to what else I should do. I would like to go island hopping but with so many islands to choose from I was wondering if anyone could give me any recommendations and advice.
The Yasawa islands are beautiful and very quiet - not the kind of place to go if you want to party! I did a tour with Awesome Adventures Fiji and really enjoyed it.
I am flying to Fiji tomorrow and have just booked the BULA pass which allows you to island hop. Just doing a bit of research about Awesome Fiji......are they good and reliable?
I found Awesome Fiji to be pretty good - everything was really well organised, couldn't fault them really.
Went to Fiji in February this year and can highly recommend Plantation Island. Prices are extremely reasonable and there are heaps of activities to keep you busy - many are free (some snorkelling and short fishing trips) and others are quite reasonably priced. February must be their quiet period as we had the whole beach to ourselves most mornings and a few people dipped in around lunch. For us, it was perfect, as it was the relaxing holiday we were after.
We did a day's worth of island hopping from Plantation and I can tell you that Beachcomber is the way to go if you're after something cheap and are happy to share a room with people. The dorms look like they hold quite a few people. This is definitely the party island.
Castaway is great for snorkelling/relaxing as is Plantation. Castaway is a bit more expensive tho.
Malolo also looked lovely, but also a bit more pricey.
