As per an April post I read, we have approx 13 days to sepnd in Delhi, we want to stay in the North with must see visits to Agra and over the border to Kathmandu. I have 2 questions:
1. What is fastest transprot Delhi-Kathkandu-Delhi?
2. Any suggestions for visits in and around Delhi
thanks Julie

Dear Fussy,
You have very less time and even it is not known how many days you are kept for India trip.
1) Fastest way to reach Kathmandu is flight ....there are several direct flights ply between Delhi to Kathmandu or you can go via bus till the Nepal border through Gorkhpur that will take take and les comfortable as all buses go till the border. You have to cross the border and catch other bus from other side.Better to have direct flights that will cost you approx 8000/- - 1000/- INR ro 190USD-239 USD.

2) You can see Agra and jaipur with your Delhi trip as both places are nearby by and must to see places.

For travelling to KTM , flying is best way. However take a morning flight so that you can see some Himalyan mountain ranges.

Agra and Jaipur are where every John and Ann goes.May be you should see Khajuraho sculptures. The are one of a kind in whole world.

Also the Ganges river at Rishikesh,Hardwar, where in people bathe to wash off all their sins. Also the place to learn Yoga

The oldest holiest city in the world called Benares.

I think Flight between Delhi/ Katmandu is the safest n the quickest.
I would not recommend the bus ride.

Ya the golden triangle
Delhi Jaipur Agra Delhi is a must...

Depending on yur interests...delhi has a lot to offer
From old old monuments buildings to night life, from fine dining to shopping
Depending on yur budget....

Based on your budget and time you could also fly/drive deeper into
Rajasthan (Thats a state in India, Jaipur is its capital)

A really nice hotel on way to Jaipur from Delhi is the Neemrana hotel, an old palace/fort thats been converted into a luxury hotel. A must but better book in advance.!!!
If theres any further info you need abt say... monuments / night life etc etc on delhi
either drop me a line or send out another post with what interests you/ would would like to do.....n places can be suggested accordingly

Delhi-Agra-Jaipur is called Golden Triangle and is considered as a must. Kathmandu is also a nice place. Please ensure to visit these places between Sept-Feb. These places are very hot during rest of the period.
