wonder if any1 can help on this strange matter??
iv recently heard through a friend of a friend who has travelled to australia, that they had to pay to get out of the country i find this hard to believe. is it true????
from a confused traveller to be!!!
This is probably just 'departure tax' and some countries charge it and some don't.
I can't actually remember whether Oz does, but NZ did when I left there.
It's usually about $10-15 US (but payable in local currency usually)
oh ok, fair enough
thanx for letting me know
yeah, usually its included in your airfare out of the country. In NZ they actually make you pay the cash up front when you are checking in. when i have flown OS i have never had to "put my hand in my pocket" so to speak at the airport or anything.
