Hi everyone... I'm Jordan from Cambridge UK and I present a radio show about live music on community radio.
Recently my dad died and I have some money coming from his pension which is going to be invested to turn up enough profit for a trip of a lifetime.
I've always wanted to travel but always let money stand in the way saying that if I had a lump sum I'd be able to do it better. Well now I have that lump sum coming and the feet suddenly got very itchy and after a chat with a friend who has been travelling alone before I got the inspiration to finally do it.
It'll be an expensive trip though, even done on a budget which is why I have joined this forum to get some advice!!
I want to head to South America and I want to start with the galapgos islands before heading down to peru and spendning time in Cuzco and doing one or more inca trails. It's a foregone that I want to be at Machu Picchu for sunrise. I want to spend a couple of nights in the amazon and then head off to mexico for quetzcoatl and other mayan and aztec ruins before heading back up to ecuador for sme time on the equator.
I figure by starting and ending in ecuador it may make the main long haul flights easier and cheaper to organise.
But I know nothing so treat me nice and I look forward to all your help!!
