Has anyone seen this film? I have just watched it at the Auckland film festival and am really intrigued to find out what happened to the couple since the film was made, ie are they still together in Australia. I have googled it but can't come up with anything other than film reviews!

Cheers. :)

Hiya Bex, I hadn't heard of this movie but I tried doing a search like you did and by the sounds of it got the same results as you. I did notice, however, that neither of the couple's surnames are mentioned in any reviews, which makes me think that they are living somewhat anonymously . . .

Not surprisingly, he was most worried about the reaction from Aamir and Amber, now settled in Brisbane. (Her parents remained in Pakistan).

"It was a revelation for both of them," he says.

"Amber didn't know Aamir has asked for a divorce(from his wife, at the time) until she saw the film. But they actually enjoyed it and they had a good conversation at the end."

K-Rahber says his friendship with Aamir is "back to normal". Aamir has steady work and is considering returning to puppetry. Amber is studying fashion and English. They're happy but it's not a case of "happily ever after". "Put it this way," K-Rahber says. "The honeymoon period is over and reality is biting. They're learning more about their environment and how they have to receive each other. But that's what marriage is about. In a way, they're just like any other couple."

mikeyboab - yeah that's a point - I had noticed that too so perhaps they didn't want any more limelight!
