...Oh, this is lovely - another short leisurely cruise for the crew and Captain... The weather is a balmy 10C with rain, doom and gloom on the horizon. Perfect sailing weather! As the pirate ship sails down from Ireland, through the English Channel, up the North Sea to the Thames River, the crew prepares for it's next stop - the Port of London. With the fog thick as pea soup, several splashes are heard... "Aye Captain, some seem to have missed the gangway and fallen into the river. Should we throw them some ropes?" "Nah, what would be the use? Who's going to see them and you might just knock one clean out. Pour bit of rum on the pier. They'll show up shortly. They all know how to swim don't they?"
And as the remaining members of the crew try to feel their way along, they raise their collective voice in song...
It’s all for me grog, me jolly jolly grog
It’s all gone for beer and tobacco
Well I spent all me loot in a house of ill repute
And I think that I shall go back there tomorrow...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HIEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's hoping you have a wonderful birthday (July 24th) and actually find something to do to celebrate. No sitting on the curb in front of the 7-11 drinking Carlsburg all by yourself. Invite the neighborhood dog to join you - he likes beer. Maybe the homeless guy on the corner will join in too.
Seriously, have a great day filled with new friends, new adventures and shut off the computer. It's tired. It needs a rest. It sent me a "HELP ME!!" e-mail. It needs a break. So, go enjoy and let it get some sleep.
...And as the rest of the crew crawls off into the Thames, Captain Isa realizes the rum on the pier is not going to rescue anyone. It's foggy, but a balmy 10C!!! Captain Isa wanders off to find the nearest pirate pub to enlist help. Hopefully, she'll find some before it's too late...
