hey my travel agent told me to join up with one of the airlines frequent flyers. I'm going to join up with Qantas and then the travel agent will put your flights into their computer so you get your points.

I think it costs around AU$80 to join up.

I agree you should arrange to become a Frequent Flyer member. Depending on class of ticket booked varies greatly on which FF program to join. I know a way to earn fast track membership into a club which allows more luggage, lounge access and other perks when flying on a particular alliance. Eg: oneworld. (British Airways, American Airlines, Qantas, Lan, Aer Lingus, Cathay Pacific, Iberia and Finnair)
If you are interested drop me a message.
The miles again vary depending on class booked in. Your ticket will state clearly what class you are travelling in.
Non Australian/New Zealand members (members with address only) of the Qantas Frequent Flyer with an overseas address are exempt from paying a joining fee.
