Hey everyone, I am planning a trip to Costa Rica for me and my wife. We love the beach and would like to stay on a nice beach but we're going in late August. Any recomendations on a nice placer to stay on a nice beach near some great food? Thanks, Aaron

The Pacific coast has many opportunities. Tamarindo is interesting and you could check the website of hotelnahua.com to find links about activities in the area. Tamarindo also is a lively place with a really beautiful beach, good for surfing.

Me, I would stay somewhere closer to Quepos....There is surfing all down there.....Beautiful beach at the Manuel ANtonio park doorstep. Quepos is a nice little town without the nonsense of Tamarindo or *GAK* Jaco. and easy to get to. Beautiful country side all around. Very nice locals. Lots to do.

There a many good beaches to choose from, but it depends upon what you want to see and do while you are here and what you consider a "good restaurant". Your basic choices for beaches with good restaurants include, Manuel Antonio, Playa Hermosa, Jaco, Mal Pais, Samara, Nosara, Tamarindo, Playa Grande, Playa Conchal and Playa Flamingo.

Why don't you come stay with us in Playa Grande? We are close to Tamarindo, Playa Conchal and Flamingo. There are good restaurants nearby and the waves are great for surfing in front of our -snip-.

Wherever you decide to go, you'll have a great time in Costa Rica. The people are friendly and the country is beautiful.
