Hi my name is Michael

I came here to germany to live with my girl friend ,to be with her and spend time with her and marry at a later date,in a year or to,

I am 46 ,and dont want to leave to go back to usa ,

My great grandma and great grandfather where from here and even as a kid felt as if this is where i wanted to be ,

Now that i have been here I know I want to stay ,

Looked at every thing on net ,and am so confused of all of it ,

Running out of time only 45 days left before my 90 days are up ,

Can any one help me

I close my retaining wall biz,and brick paver biz ,down to come here and live with her ,

So I do have thoses skills to fall back on ,as I have seen they have lots of brick here in the way of roads side walks and so on ,

Can any one give me some clear answers what to do to stay now ,

Even her family dont want me to have to leave
:(:(:(

What do the immigration people say?

The resident immigration officer of this forum says: Send me a private message with some details on your savings and income as long with your exact address.

You need to apply for a residency permit at the Ausländerbehörde that is responsible for the address where you currently live. Then you need to start running behind the papers that you need for opening your own business.

Is your girlfriend's income sufficient enough to support both of you? Then she should sign a Verpflichtungserklärung, a declaration of liability on your behalf. You also need to get health insurance and 2 photos of you that fit the requirements for a German passport.

Look into getting married soon, as being married will solve a ton of problems with the foreigner's office for you.
