Im thinking about going to Pattaya soon.

Is there a good city in the North east of Thailand?

As you know, I usually encourage people to visit Pattaya most of the time. It has a good combination of decent priced rooms, great restaurant choices, tons of nightlife, plenty of sports plus beach. I have a blog article on going over to Koh Larn. I will not go in the water off Pattaya or Jomtien anymore, but you can have a great beach/swimming experience by visiting Koh Larn.

I have friends that visit Udon Thani. They are golfers, but there is more to do than that. Everything is cheaper there than in BKK or Pattaya. Might be worth a visit.

UDON THANI... I LIKE THE SOUND OF IT.

Anyway, I will go to LAOS,
so UDON THANI is in the east...

as for pattaya... cheap hotels, that would be my motivation.

I have just come back from Issan and had a really great time there. Myself and my wife went there on a privately guided tour booked through selectiveasia.com. The place that we both enjoyed the most was Ubon Ratchathani, a really beautiful place and lots to do and see. It is also easy to get in to Southern Laos, which is what we did on our trip.

It is a very cheap place to travel with some great places to eat and lots of beautiful temples featuring some of the most stunning architecture I have come across in Asia.

Thailand is a fascinating place to see, Land of Smiles for sure, you can travel eat and sleep really cheaply if your brave and adventurous.

They are having the odd Political issue but its all blown up out of all proportion by the media as per usual.

Its a great place to experience, be broad minded and non judgemental and you will never want to leave.

I play Golf here and it is absolutely idylic.

I've entered that Kingdom 5 times and run out of free entry. This thread came back from the grave.
I feel like shedding tears... I mean this was me, I remember the feeling back then... lost and anxious....

I DIDN'T GO TO PATTAYA and I REGRET CHOOSING PHUKET!!!
