Ok, here's a wild one. Does anyone know the correct word for "thank you" in Kurdish?
I see online it is "Spaas"
But when I was at the border I spent time with some Kurdish chaps that were trying to teach me to say something which phonetically sounded like 'Spas-mod-i-cum".
Maybe it was a local dialect or they were adding something to it?
I know it's a long shot but, if someone knows it would be great
This is quite a late reply but thought you might still want to get an answer.
I am not a Kurdish speaker but have been around many of them and as far as I know spaas- di-cum is i thank you where as spaas is thanks
Thanks for the reply.
I found "Spass" online in frequent references for thanks you alright. So I went with that. And in the context of phonetics went with "spas modi cum".
Maybe I'll just have to go back to find out for sure
