Thank you Tina, Mikey, Quan (& Simone), Jun and (last but hardly least) My Most Favorite Person In The World!!!!! Wow!!!!!!!
If I didn't know better, I would think you guys like me, you really like me (insert Sally Fields Oscar award acceptance speech tone of voice here)!!! Oh, and the doc said I'll be stickin' around for awhile longer. (Ooooohhhh, spankings...) He likes me. I'm his first patient in the morning comedy routine and today he had the pleasure of the Beerman & Isa Revue. Not sure what the med student, who was along for the ride, thought about it but he definitely was entertained.
T - can Bob Barker drop of first class airline tickets instead - for sometime in September???
Mikey - you didn't miss it - my birthday is today - you're right on time (for a change).
Q & Simone - that was lovely. Could you do a tango for me too?
Jun & Wafe - went for the rum instead of martinis but the day will last for at least 48 hours.
Dear - I love you too!!! Thank you for the Buffettisms!!!! You know me all to well. But, I'm afraid we may have to grill some of those mice as the cats are lining them up quickly. Just do the chicken before the mice - the smell of grilled hair will put everyone off their food (except the cats, of course). As for Harry, he has no sense of timing, rhythm or anything else for that matter. He's the howler and he sings when he damn well feels like it. Good luck changing it.
Happy Birthday Isa. Hope you have a fantastic day!
Slightly belated happy birthday, Isa! Hope you had a great day, and the mice went down wel...
All Hail Goody Kalav, the Hag of Dakota!!! All the best for your birthday - May you live as long as you want and want as long as you live!!!
Thank you Bex, Rob and Phil!!!!!!
The mice were quite good - a bit crunchy, but then, they wouldn't be crunchy without the bones.
Philly, I prefer Crone of Dakota... Hag reminds me of the hagfish. Eeeewwww!!!!!!!!!
Thanks again, everyone! Had a fantastic day!!! The dinner was delicious and I have leftovers - yum!!! Also got some wonderful pressies from Beerman!!! Off to Chicago shortly to do the celebrating again with family and stay overnight with a friend. Phil, there may be a drive-by shoeing - better duck and cover - we might come lookin' for you...
"Breithla Shona Dhuit a Isa!"
I'm having an Apple Martini for you here in NYC in your honour. (okay, maybe I had 5....)
Thank you Brenda(n), Katherine and Ev!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See - this should teach me to log onto Facebook more often! Though, I didn't check my e-mails on Saturday so got the notifications a few minutes ago. (Just got home from Chicago.)
Yup - it's been another wonderful birthday filled with lots of good stuff (and I don't mean just pressies - though they are fantastic too). Ate lots of food, had chocolate cake and ice cream, and got to stay up late!!! We had some tasty grapefruit martinis and sat on our friend's balcony until way past midnight last night. Actually saw several satellites and the Intl. Space Station pass overhead again - not bad considering how brightly lit the city is all night long.
Ev - glad you enjoyed the appletinis and drank several of them. I've never been to NYC so would have loved to have been there to share them. When (not if) you make it to the "Manor", maybe we can convince Katherine to show up too. We have some Bushmill's left, Katie..
Once again, thank you all!! It's been a lovely thread and a lovely weekend!! I couldn't have asked for more!
I really should check the Off Topic board a little more often, then I won't miss things so badly...
Happy (much belated) birthday, Isa.
