Bus to KLIA from Singapore?

Travel Forums Asia Bus to KLIA from Singapore?

Hi,

I want to take a bus from Singapore (anywhere) to Kuala Lumpur International Airport? Is there a bus that goes there? Seems like most buses go to Puduraya Bus Station with a few going to hotels. If there's no bus that stops directly in KLIA, what's next nearest stop? I can leave from anywhere in Singapore.

Thanks in advance!

All buses from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur head to the city centre. Although most bus operators stop at the Puduraya terminal, a stone's throw away from Chinatown, a few others have different stops.

From the city centre, the fastest way to Kuala Lumpur International Airport is the 28-minute KLIA Express train from KL Sentral (central station) for RM35. This train takes you to the Main Terminal Building. If you want to go to the Low-Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT), take a bus from the basement of KL Sentral for only RM9. The journey time is about 1 hour 15 minutes. Factor in the traffic condition if you're leaving for the airport during rush hours or if there's heavy downpour. It's advisable to take the Skybus (red colour) as they are punctual in departure times compared to the other operators.

To get to KL Sentral:

From Puduraya: (most buses)
Option 1: Take the LRT (overhead line) from Puduraya station to the Masjid Jamek station, then change to the underground line towards KL Sentral.
Option 2: Walk 500m along Jalan Tun Perak (basically walk along underneath the overhead LRT line) to Masjid Jamek LRT station and take the underground line towards KL Sentral.

From Pasarakyat Terminal: (Transtar buses):
Ask for directions to Times Square (15-20 mins walk) and take the Monorail towards KL Sentral.

From Hentian Duta station, there are airport buses from here.

Wow, great reply. Thank you very much, Hien.

I heard there are trains (KTM?) that go from Singapore to KL Sentral, are they advisable to take?

Yes, there are three trains daily from Singapore's Tanjong Pagar station to KL Sentral. It's longer than the bus though; day train takes about 6 hours, while night train takes about 9 hours. Check the Getting There section of the Kuala Lumpur travel guide for more info about trains.
