Intro from Sam
As most of you probably know, we rarely allow questionnaires to be posted here. However there are exceptions and I'm posting this one as the results are something we'd be interested in :) I took it myself and although it's longish -about 7 minutes- and some of the English is a little confusing, it was relevant to a lot of the travelling I've done. Here's the info from Stefan, who is a student running the questionnaire

---

Hello,
my name is Stefan and I am a student from Germany. For my diploma thesis I have done a questionnaire about hostels.
With the help of this questionnaire I would like to find out what is important for you in a city-hostel and what not.
It will take you about 8 minutes to answer the questions. At the end you have the chance to participate on a raffle draw where you can win one of two vouchers from Amazon, each at about 10,- Euros.
The evaluation does take place anonymously and only for the purpose of the qustionnaire.
If you participate on the raffle, your personal details will be seperated from the rest of the questionnaire, so that no conclusion to your person is possible.
Legal process is excluded.
The winners will be notified via email.

I would be happy, if you tell your friends about this questionnaire, so that I can get a big response.

Thanks a lot and good luck

Stefan

Participated. As always, it'd be really appreciated if some of the results would become available in some public form, with an announcement when they are. (The lack of this is making me less and less inclined to participate in questionnaires.)

I'll try and remember to post some of the results here when I get them. You did see the Travellerspoint questionnaire results were accessible here, didn't you?

Yes, I did. That comment wasn't travellerspoint specific, but just relates to internet questionnaires in general.

Ah, cool, just checking! Your reason is one of the main ones we just delete 99% of all the questionnaires that come through. It's so totally unrewarding to be answering questions with no feedback in return on what everyone has answered as a group.

Hi,

the questionnaire is from me. You will get a summary of the main results. That will take some time. I think the earliest date will be the end of october, because first I have to finish my study and to find a job. Maybe it will be faster, but I think at the moment not.

To the response. I have thougt this would be a big forum with many people but the response was not so much.
Maybe it is smaller than I have thought.
If some one would like to participate, I think I will close the questionnaire Wednesday evening.
So, 3 days to go. :)

Or maybe you guys can send a newsletter ;)

Thanks a lot

Stefan

You bring up a good point Stefan. No matter how big a forum/site might be, questionnaire responses seem to be incredibly low, unless the questionnaire is linked to from all over the place. There's just a lot of other stuff competing for people's attention. This particular questionnaire was also rather long given normal site browsing habits.

By the way, why do you have to find a job before you can share the results?!
