Hi there,
I will be heading to South America from 3 months (sept-dec)
Can anyone suggest a sleepingbag for this kind of trip? I will be in different climates - Ecuador, Peru (inca trail), Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina & Chile (patagonia) so I am thinking I will probably need one that goes to at least -5C? I have one currently for summer camping but doesnt go that cold. Its great because it packs TINYYY in a stuffsack and I would really like to get something like it in size, but the ones ive seen in stores look pretty large (maybe because they arent in real stuff sacks?) Any brand/model suggestions??
I went into MEC and the salesperson suggested a 65litre pack but after looking at the posts on this forum i'm thinking that I could probably do with 50lites or even 45?? What do you think? I like the idea of side zippers to get at things, as opposed to only top loading. I have a small build so I'm trying to take the smallest one I can, however I do have the potential to overpack. Since I will be visiting different climates I will have to bring warm and cold weather clothes and I feel like that might take up more room...
I will be using this pack again in the spring for a backpacking trip to SEAsia, so I would like it to be as durable as possible.
Please let me know your suggestions!
