I just came back from the Independence Day celebrations, it was a wonderful feeling to be part of the proceedings. All over the streets and schools one can see cute children carrying small Indian Flags and the sweets that they got from their schools:)

Happy Independence Day, Arif!!!!!!!

Did Ayaan get to enjoy the festivities too?
Did you run up and down the streets with your kite flying high in the air?
Does India have fireworks displays in the evening so everyone can say "oooohhhhhh & aaahhhhhhh..."?

ohh gr8 Isa !!!! u remember Ayaan:)

We do have kite flying competitions but not in Mumbai, it is too crowded !!!

No fireworks either, u can see spectacular display of fireworks all over India during the "Diwali" festival which is on 28th October!!!

It was Ayaan's first but he is too small to understand, maybe next year he can celebrate the day:)
