Thanks so much for your words of encouragement :)

I will definitely look you up if I ever make it down to Santa Fe. ;)

this is a great little thread .. im in the same boat as well ! Time for a career change, although i've always been a avid photographer, definitely need change. I've been shooting motorsports on the side for 3 years now and that is getting quite repetitive - nothing new to see , same cars, same angle, same pan! Although i love photography, i think ive found my niche in publishing. I published 2 photo books on cars already , and as somebody else said - the CHEESY GRIN - its contageous ... knowing that all the hard work paid off.
http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/172432 - thats the first through blurb. you can tell that its the first. Then the 2nd went through a printer (just cut blurb out ) and know working on a travel book.

My biggest problem is that i live in Australia, and we gotta fly to get anywhere - so as much as i'd like to use my photos from upcoming travels, i just seriously cant get everywhere. So my question is, Do i photograph all myself, and push my work forward to the publishers or enlist photographers ?
