New Year

Hi all,

I will probably be in Seoul for Christmas 08 and I'm wondering where I should spend New Year for a decent party.

We will have just come from China and I hear that it's quite difficult to get a multi entry visa so that's probably not an option.

We're thinking about heading to Japan after Korea but I think it may be too expensive on our budget, depending on how cheap the transport there is. Has anybody spent New Year's Eve in Japan (probably Tokyo)? Is it worth the money we'd spend getting there?

We plan to head to Thailand some time after Christmas so we could just go straight down for New year on the beach which I know would be good craic.

Then the fourth option is to stay in South Korea for it, but we hadn't really planned to spend nearly two weeks there.

Does anybody have any advice or any other suggestions for good party spots?

Has anybody been to Tokyo for New Year? Was it good?

I was snowboarding in Nagano for Xmas & New Years last year, but when I got back to Tokyo I heard from mates that their was loads of organised parties in clubs in Shinjunku district and they had a great time. Just remeber that if you do plan on going to Tokyo then book NOW cause both flights and accomodation prices will sky rocket soon enough

I have friends still living in Tokyo so if you need any further help gimme a shout

I'm going to be in Cambodia for new yr (31/12/08) and wasnt really sure what sort of parties there are. Maybe going to thailand is better??

have heard mention of a prty at Bokor Casino; anyones know anything about this?

Any suggestions ??!!
