Wondering if anyone on the forum can help out with this: I am trying to find the name of a snack I used to love when living in Indonesia - it was a shredded dried plum which was mixed and coated with a special flavour that was tangy, sour and sweet - all at the same time. I did have something similar from Vietnam recently but which was even more sour.

I have tried googling but I just get dried fruits but I need to know what this is called locally and perhaps brand names as I am trying to get down some. If anyone knows the name, please let me know.

Thanks in advance. :)

I just had a quick look on google.co.in, and came up with Umeboshi. Not sure if this is any help!
