Hey, I am new to this and am just wanting some advice on the best way to get around Oz. I am on a quite tight budget and was just wondering if anyone knew of the cheapest and easiest way travel around Oz. I looked on the STA site and it has given me a few ideas but they dont seem too helpful
any info would be great
cheers :)

share a ride with people or greyhound it.

Needaride.au is a good website to get you started , although hostel noticeboards are probably the best

I'd go with the Greyhound option, air conditioned, play films, regular,go to all the major places & relatively cheap way of getting from A to B, we payed $300 from Sydney to Cairns hop on hop off, even the 16 hour journey didn't seem too bad as they break it up with stops very well

How small are you? Because I believe the cheapest option could be sitting in the pouch of a kangaroo, can get a bit bumpy but you'll get used to it..

Seriously though, Greyhound would be the best option, some of the countrylink (rail) trips have sales, so that could work too..

All the best :)
