3 weeks in Vietnam or Laos? (tourist/nightlife/price)

Hey everyone, I live in Thailand and I'll be doing 3 weeks out of Thailand to help with my VISA situation.

Anyone know of any good hotels in Vietnam or Laos that have great services, location, food, internet, near nightlife, gym (with steam and/or sauna)????

Please let me know, I'll be heading to Viet or Laos within a month

Laos has one hotel with gym and sauna...
Its close to the Mekong river infront of a wine bar/cafe.

I'm talking about TINY Vientiane, you'll find it without a map.

Here are some places I recommend in Hanoi, but I don't know about any saunas or gyms.
