Rio Carnival 2009

Hey,

Well I'm all booked up accomodation wise, but I was just starting to look into tickets & I'm clueless I was under the impression it was a mainly street based event but it seems that there's a million & 1 different types of tickets you can buy for grandstands & seat areas

Can anyone who has been previous shed some light on best places to view the event from?

It all depends on what you can afford. Tickets for last year started at about 150.Brazilian reais and got up to 1000.Brazilian reais. Just like a ticket to a Super Bowl or a World Cup. You get what you can afford.

Also don’t miss the Samba rehearsals before the official parade at the Samba Schools communities.
