WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO FIND A LADY TRAVEL COMPANION 45 +

Travel Forums General Talk WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO FIND A LADY TRAVEL COMPANION 45 +

1. Posted by Billy234 (Budding Member 2 posts) 12y

Hello.....my name is Frank.
Why is it so difficult to find a lady travel companion who is over 45 years of age....?
I have been advertising for some time......and cannot find her.
Is it that they dont like travelling in a motorcaravan....?
Is it that they dont trust a man that travels this way.....?
Is it that women over 45 demand ......what...?
Anyway.....I intend travelling all over Europe in my 23 ft long motorcaravan, equipped with two separate sleeping cabins, for many months, visiting many places of cultural interest from Spain to Greece, from Italy to Norway ( next summer ) and I WLTM an educated, cultured, independent witty woman between 45 and 55 who is free to travel for many weeks or months.
If anybody reading this should know of a lady who might be interested........PLEASE.....tell her about me. Thanks.....Frank

Maybe it's because you're so needy Frank-and women that age don't want needy men around.

I think maybe you are going around it the wrong way Frank. Posting 4 or 5 threads saying the same thing doesn't really help much. Also, generally posting a title in capitals is frowned upon.

A better way would be to establish yourself as a solid member, someone people 'get to know' online by helping out others in the forum, updating your profile with loads of information etc. etc.

Now, if a woman visited your profile based on a post of yours, all she would see is that the last 4 or 5 things you have posted are capitalized threads saying that you are looking for a woman to travel with. If I was a woman that would put me off the idea of contacting you immediately.

There was someone a while ago posting roughly the same way and I don't believe that worked out for him.

Perhaps by asking for females only you make it seem like you're after romance. This is not a dating site and as far as I know there's not many people looking for romance on here. There's also not that many 45+ women on the site looking for travel companions on a road trip unfortunately. I've never seen a request like that at least. Good luck with it..

Cheers, Peter

Hi Frank

For the attention of hosts on here,
I am 43yrs old women.who loves to travel, and am very independant.
This site has given me the oppertunity to meet up with all age groups, when i am travelling in Australia.

Frank you are offering a good trip for anyone who is brave enough to travel around Europe with you.
Most women in there 40's are free spirits and go with the wind, and do there own thing. And i to aree with the comment that most ladies over 40 prefer men there own age or younger.
The biggest majority of people on this site are under 30, so dont think you will find a travelling partner here.
Do try lonley planet chat forum, thorn tree.
I hope you do get a offer of travelling companion.
As im of to Australia i'll not be applying.
take care
Babe

Hey Babe,

Good to know :) I suppose I just haven't seen many companion requests where a specific age / gender is mentioned at all..
