I'm attending a one month Italian language course at the University per Stranieri in October and need to rent a room, preferably with other (young) students. I've got no experience in renting and that's way I'm asking for advice. Does anyone know how difficult it is to find a room in Perugia? If it would be better to do it now online as opposed to arriving a week before classes begin to search for a place? Does anyone have any leads?

I'm 18 and have never rented before and so far with my travels I've been staying with friends. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's difficult-ish, as Perugia is quite popular and many students start their careers in October. You probably know this page already, which states how the università per stranieri can help you to arrange accommodation. Student living, the actual rental agency, has most of its pages in a mediocre English translation as well. I don't think this is a very cheap solution, but other than this, I cannot really offer much help.

I take back my last statement about Student Living probably not being very cheap. I dug a little further, and came up with this page; as you can see, single rooms are not expensive at all (provided you can still get one).
